Yahrzeit Together
Yahrzeit Together is a private space for families to remember people they have lost — light a candle, share memories, and mark the Yahrzeit together. If something is not working or you are not sure how something is meant to work, this page should help.
The fastest way to reach us is by email: support@yahrzeittogether.com. We read every message and usually reply within two business days.
You can also send feedback from inside the app: More → Report a problem or suggestion. That reaches us directly and tells us which version you are on, which makes problems much faster to track down.
Sign-in codes come from noreply@yahrzeittogether.com. Check your junk or spam folder first — that is where they usually are, especially on Yahoo and Outlook. Mark the message as "not junk" so later ones arrive normally. Codes expire after a short time, so if yours has been sitting a while, request a new one.
Invitations are matched to the email address they were sent to. If you signed up with a different address than the one the invitation went to, the memorial will not appear. Ask whoever invited you to re-send it to the address you actually signed in with.
You can ask. Open the memorial from a shared link and choose to request to join — the person who created it gets a notification and can approve you.
Only the members of that specific memorial. Memorials are private, they are not searchable, and nothing is shared between families. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Videos are saved at a size that loads quickly for everyone in the memorial, including relatives on slower connections and older phones. The original is untouched on your phone — nothing is replaced or removed there. Photographs are kept at full quality.
Yes. Open the memory and delete it. The person who created the memorial can also remove anything on it.
Check More → Notifications in the app, and then check that iOS itself allows notifications for Yahrzeit Together under Settings → Notifications. Chat messages have their own separate toggle, so it is possible to have activity notifications on and chat notifications off.
More → Delete my account. You can choose whether to erase what you posted or leave it in place for the family. Memorials you created pass to another member so your family does not lose them. This cannot be undone.
If something is broken, the most useful things to tell us are what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead — plus the version number shown at the bottom of the More tab. Screenshots help a lot.
